InvestorsIn a post financial crisis world, investors are seeking a bedrock focus on capital preservation and protection from inflation. The end of the financial crisis does not however remove us from the reality of population growth, increasing developing world consumption and natural resource degradation/decline. There are obvious pressures in terms of water, energy, biodiversity, food and soil, all of which will only be further exacerbated by climate change . Farmland is an asset class that is relevant in terms of all those pressure points/investment themes identified above.
